Hemant Soren Launches Strong Attack for Tea Garden Workers’ Rights

Ranchi, Rangapara: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren targeted the long-standing neglect of tea garden workers and tribal communities during massive public rallies held in Majbat and Rangapara ahead of the Assam Assembly elections.

He clearly stated that for years, those who have contributed their sweat and blood to the tea gardens have been ignored, and such injustice will not continue any longer. The Chief Minister urged voters to support Preeti Rekha Barla from Majbat and Matthew Topno from Rangapara, saying that this election is not just about changing the government but a fight for respect and rights.

Soren alleged that workers who have built the region’s economy are still deprived of basic facilities such as electricity, roads, and permanent housing. He questioned, during the rally, how long tea garden workers would continue to live in poor conditions.

He warned people that the time for being trapped in empty promises is over. If farmers, workers, and tribal communities unite, no force can silence their voice. Calling it the “People vs Neglect” election, Soren appealed to citizens to cast decisive votes for their rights.

The Chief Minister also attacked divisive politics, stating that attempts to divide society are the biggest enemy of development. He assured that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidates would represent tea garden workers, farmers, and tribal communities in the Assembly and fight strongly for their rights, respect, and basic facilities.
