India News : In a powerful message to Pakistan on the occasion of Vijayadashami (Dussehra), Defence Minister Rajnath Singh warned that any misadventure in the Sir Creek region will be met with a strong response, potentially altering both history and geography.
Speaking during the Shastra Puja ceremony at Bhuj Airbase, Singh said, “This is the same soil whose army once hoisted the Tricolor in Lahore in 1965. If Pakistan tries anything in Sir Creek today, India will not hesitate to change history and geography.”
He referred to Operation Sindoor, during which Pakistan allegedly attempted to breach India’s defense systems from Leh to Sir Creek. “Pakistan’s air defense system was completely exposed by our forces in the retaliatory operation,” he said, adding that the Indian armed forces are constantly alert and guarding the borders in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF).
Rajnath Singh emphasized that Karachi is accessible via Sir Creek, and if provoked, India will ensure a strong and decisive response. He added that despite India’s capability, the country has shown restraint. “Our operations were aimed at counter-terrorism, not at starting a full-scale war,” he clarified.
Continued Sir Creek Dispute
The Defence Minister expressed concern over the unresolved border issue in Sir Creek, even after 78 years of India’s independence. “India has always sought peaceful dialogue, but Pakistan’s intentions have never been honest,” Singh stated. He cited the increased military infrastructure buildup by Pakistan near Sir Creek as evidence of its intentions.
Tribute to Indian Forces and Mahatma Gandhi
During the event, Singh lauded the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force as the three pillars of national strength and unity. He congratulated Indian soldiers and officers on the successful completion of Operation Sindoor, adding that India’s military readiness has sent a clear message globally: India can strike when, where, and how it wants.
He also invoked the values of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, calling him a symbol of unmatched moral courage. “Gandhiji brought a global empire to its knees without weapons. Our soldiers have both strength and spirit—no challenge can stand before them,” Singh said.
He concluded with a prayer to Goddess Durga for blessing India’s weapons with divine purpose and continued protection of dharma (righteousness). “Worship of weapons is also worship of the brave soldiers who carry them,” he remarked.
