Ranchi : The Jharkhand Dance Sports Federation constituted its new committee at a meeting held on Wednesday at Hotel Blue Ridge near Argora Chowk in Ranchi.
The federation aims to provide dancers across Jharkhand with a new platform and recognition, while promoting dance sports and creating opportunities for dancers from different districts of the state.
During the meeting, members unanimously assigned responsibilities to the office-bearers of the newly formed committee.
The newly appointed office-bearers are:
Suraj Sahu – President
Ramswaroop Kumar – General Secretary
Anjali Kumari – Treasurer
Vikas Gop – Technical Director
Amit Kumar – Assistant Technical Director
Sanjay Ravidas – Joint Secretary
Prakash Ravidas – Team Manager
Dilip Lohra and Dilip Sharma – Executive Members
Vijay Kumar Sahu – Patron
Mohammad Shahil – Vice President
Directors of dance academies and dancers from Ranchi, Ramgarh, Chatra, East Singhbhum and several other districts attended the meeting.
The newly constituted federation committee said it would work towards providing better opportunities, recognition and a structured platform for dancers across Jharkhand.
