- Kanwariyas travelling from Sultanganj to Deoghar praised Bihar’s arrangements, including drinking water, medical camps, cleanliness, lighting and security along the pilgrimage route.
Bihar News : With the beginning of the holy month of Sawan, Bihar is resonating with chants of “Bol Bam” and “Har Har Mahadev” as thousands of Kanwariyas travel from Sultanganj to Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar. Devotees arriving from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand have praised the arrangements made for them across Bihar.
Several Kanwariyas said facilities such as drinking water, food, cleanliness, medical camps, lighting and security have made the long journey on foot more comfortable. Many devotees also appreciated the hospitality and arrangements made by the administration.
UP Devotees Praise Arrangements
Ajit Patel, a devotee from Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh, thanked the Bihar government during his journey from Patna towards Deoghar. He said special facilities had been arranged for Kanwariyas after entering Bihar.
He also mentioned the flower shower organised for devotees and said that the arrangements and hospitality extended by the Bihar administration would remain memorable.
First Such Arrangements in 18 Years
Sheetal Prasad, also from Kaushambi, said he has been visiting Bihar during Sawan to collect holy water for the past 18 years. According to him, this is the first time he has seen such detailed arrangements for the comfort and convenience of Kanwariyas.
He said the arrangements made under the Samrat government have made the long and difficult walking journey considerably easier and more comfortable.
Water, Medical Camps and Security Facilities
Lalti Devi from Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, who is visiting Baba Baidyanath for the second time, also praised the arrangements in Bihar.
She said clean drinking water, food, cleanliness, medical camps and night-time lighting have been provided at several points along the Kanwar route. She also appreciated the security arrangements for women devotees and expressed her desire to visit Bihar every year.
Administrative Vigilance and Hospitality Appreciated
During Sawan, arrangements have been made along the entire route from Sultanganj to Deoghar. The administration has focused on providing facilities and ensuring the safety of devotees travelling on the pilgrimage route.
The arrangements for devotees coming from different states are being appreciated as an example of Bihar’s hospitality. Devotees said the facilities have helped reduce the difficulties associated with the long and demanding Kanwar journey.
