New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conference (ESTIC) 2026’ today at 5:30 PM at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, Delhi. This three-day conference will focus on emerging technologies and India’s innovation priorities across various sectors, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), biotechnology, advanced materials, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and climate.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the conference will be inaugurated on October 27 at 5:30 PM. Held from October 27 to 29, the event will bring together prominent scientists, researchers, academicians, policymakers, industry representatives, startups, and international experts. Discussions will cover 12 key thematic areas, with a focus on research priorities, strengthening national capabilities, and translating scientific achievements into practical applications.
A comprehensive exhibition showcasing indigenous scientific breakthroughs and emerging technologies will also be held. It will feature stalls from approximately 150 ‘deep tech’ startups, highlighting technological developments across various sectors and their potential applications. The event will further illustrate scientific progress and its real-world utility through thematic videos, technology demonstrations, documentaries, information kiosks, and experiences involving augmented and virtual reality.
As a new initiative, a ‘Global Connect Networking Program’ will be organized, featuring over 300 invited participants from academic institutions, research organizations, and the industry—both from India and abroad. The objective of this initiative is to foster international research partnerships, strengthen collaboration between industry and academic/research institutions, and explore pathways to bring innovations developed in laboratories to the market.
