Patratu: Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) to support the welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities and improve their quality of life.
PVUNL CEO A.K. Sehgal, Chief Medical Officer Dr (Mrs) Shipra Rani, and Head of Human Resources Ziaur Rahman were present on the occasion.
Assessment Camp to Identify Beneficiaries
Under the agreement, PVUNL will organise an Assessment Camp in Patratu and nearby areas to identify persons with disabilities who require assistance.
Eligible and needy individuals will be registered during the camp, followed by an assessment of their specific requirements. Based on the assessment and medical examination, beneficiaries will be provided with assistive devices according to their needs.
The initiative is aimed at helping persons with disabilities become more independent in their daily lives.
Focus on Social Welfare and Inclusion
The initiative reflects PVUNL’s commitment to the overall development and social welfare of communities living around its operational area.
Through the programme, efforts will be made to provide necessary support to persons with disabilities, improve their mobility and facilitate their greater participation in society. The initiative also seeks to create opportunities for them to lead dignified and independent lives.
