Bihar News : Bihar Rural Development and Information & Public Relations Minister and JDU Legislative Party Leader Shravan Kumar celebrated Raksha Bandhan at the JDU state office in Patna. Women workers and leaders of the party tied rakhi on his wrist on the occasion.
Shravan Kumar extended Raksha Bandhan greetings to all women workers and JEEViKA Didis. He said the growing participation of women in every sphere of society is a matter of pride.
The minister said historic work has been carried out towards women’s empowerment under the leadership of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Minister Appeals for Social Harmony
Shravan Kumar said he wished everyone a healthy life and appealed to people to celebrate festivals while keeping environmental protection in mind and maintaining social harmony.
Bihar Legislative Council Chief Whip Sanjay Kumar, popularly known as Gandhi Ji, also had rakhi tied by women workers during the programme.
State-level JDU leaders Kanchan Gupta, Madhu Kumari, Kusum Kumari, Anita Kumari Patel, Renu Kumari Patel and Suman Sinha, among others, tied rakhi on the wrists of both leaders. The ceremony reflected the affection and dignity associated with the sacred brother-sister relationship.
Both leaders blessed the women leaders and wished them happiness, prosperity and a bright future.
JDU Leaders Attend the Programme
Former Legislative Council member Satish Kumar, headquarters in-charge Anjum Ara, office in-charge Arun Kumar Verma and General Secretary Ranvijay Singh were among those present at the programme.
The JDU state office premises witnessed an atmosphere of harmony, warmth and enthusiasm during the Raksha Bandhan celebration.
