Ranchi Hosts Himalayan Conclave 2025: A Summit of Courage, Climate, and Consciousness

Jharkhand News : Ranchi witnessed a historic gathering of global mountaineers, environmental advocates, and youth icons at the Himalayan Conclave 2025 (Everest Summit 3.0), organized by the Ideate Inspire Ignite (i3) Foundation. With over 25 legendary climbers from India and abroad in attendance, the city became a beacon of courage, environmental consciousness, and social inspiration.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of dignitaries, mountaineers, and the i3 Foundation’s founder Rajeev Gupta, who in his opening speech remarked:

“Mountaineers don’t just conquer peaks — they elevate human awareness. From the silent heights of the Himalayas, they bring us the message of an urgent climate crisis.”

Meaningful Discussions and Inspirational Stories

The event wasn’t limited to expeditions — it expanded into critical dialogues. A panel on climate action, moderated by Anurag Maloo, featured powerful voices highlighting the fragile state of the Himalayas.

“This is not just the time to summit mountains — it’s the time to heal the planet.”

Personal stories moved the audience — from Chonjin Angmo’s triumph over blindness, to 17-year-old V. Kartikey’s journey across all seven continents, and Kamya Karthikeyan’s story of breaking age and gender barriers. Dawa Tashi Sherpa shared deep insights on Himalayan culture and ecology.

A forward-thinking cyber security panel, led by Lt. Col. Pooja Nautiyal, reflected on the growing digital threats in an interconnected world, linking safety both on mountains and in cyberspace.

Tenzing Norgay Excellence Awards & Cultural Tribute

In a heartfelt ceremony, Jamling Tenzing Norgay presented the Tenzing Norgay Excellence Awards 2025 to 11 mountaineers for their outstanding contributions to adventure, sustainability, and social impact.

A moving musical performance, “Operation Sindoor”, captured stories of valor and sacrifice, leaving many in tears.
