7 Crore 'Om Namah Shivaya' Chants Planned This Shravan

India News : As the holy month of Shravan approaches, preparations are underway for a grand spiritual chanting campaign in Ujjain. Like every year, the Om Namah Shivaya Chant Committee and Shri Hari Adhyatmik Seva Sansthan will organize a massive chanting drive, with a target of 7 crore (70 million) chants of the sacred mantra “Om Namah Shivaya”.

The convener of the committee, Hari Singh Yadav, shared that since 2016, the organization has consistently conducted mantra chanting during Shravan. Inspired by Valmiki Dham Peethadheeshwar Saint Umesh Nath Maharaj, the initiative continues under the blessings and guidance of spiritual leaders, saints, and Mahamandaleshwars.

This year too, chanting programs will be organized at temples, monasteries, schools, colleges, colonies, and even at the homes of committee members. The chanting is performed continuously in rhythm with devotional music, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The campaign will officially commence on July 11, with the opening ceremony being held at Valmiki Dham and led by Saint Umesh Nath Maharaj himself.

Hari Yadav further stated that new partner organizations have been encouraged to join the initiative, and more devotees will be participating from their homes across different cities and states. The aim is not only religious devotion but also promoting mental peace, social unity, and environmental harmony through spiritual practices.

This year’s 7 crore mantra target is ambitious, but the organizers are confident in the growing participation of devotees. Devotees from across the country, inspired by Maharaj Shri, will chant “Om Namah Shivaya” at their respective locations, making this a national-level spiritual campaign.

The opening event at Valmiki Dham will also include a group chanting session, spiritual discourse, and aarti. Dignitaries, saints, and numerous devotees are expected to participate in large numbers.

This spiritual movement not only enhances the religious significance of Ujjain but also works as a vehicle for inner transformation and community well-being.
