Dangerous Thar Stunt on Road: Steering Controlled With Feet

India News : As the popularity of the SUV Thar continues to rise, reckless driving incidents involving the vehicle are also increasing. In a shocking case from Ballabgarh in Faridabad, a viral video showing youths performing dangerous stunts in an open Thar has prompted swift police action.

The incident took place on Friday evening, December 5, in Sector-65, Ballabgarh. The viral video, around 42 seconds long, shows three young men engaging in life-threatening stunts while driving an old-model open Thar on a public road. In the video, one youth is seen controlling the steering wheel with his feet, another is recording the stunt on a mobile phone, while the third is standing at the rear of the moving vehicle.

Local residents, alarmed by the dangerous act, recorded the incident and shared it on social media, where it quickly went viral. The stunt not only endangered the lives of those involved but also posed a serious threat to other road users.

Several social media users demanded strict action against the youths, terming the act irresponsible and reckless. The age of the youths involved is estimated to be between 18 and 20 years.

Taking cognizance of the viral video, the Faridabad Police acted promptly. On December 6, police issued a post challan against the driver of the vehicle. A fine of ₹7,000 was imposed, and a case was registered under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act for reckless and dangerous driving.

Police officials stated that such stunts will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against anyone risking public safety on roads. Authorities also appealed to citizens to follow traffic rules and avoid stunt driving that could lead to fatal accidents.
