CM Meets Indian Kho-Kho Federation Delegation

Jharkhand News : On Tuesday, the Chief Minister Hemant Soren had a courtesy meeting with the delegation of the Indian Kho-Kho Federation (KKFI) at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. On this occasion, the representatives of the Commonwealth Kho-Kho Federation presented a detailed proposal to the Chief Minister regarding the organization of the first Commonwealth Kho-Kho Championship, to be held in Ranchi from 9th to 14th March 2026.

The Chief Minister discussed the proposal positively and assured full support from the state government. It is noteworthy that in 2026, Jharkhand will host a historic international sporting event. This competition will be the first international Kho-Kho tournament held in the state, featuring players from 23 countries in both boys’ and girls’ categories.

The delegation meeting the Chief Minister included Sudhanshu Mittal, President of the Commonwealth Kho-Kho Federation (KKFI); M. S. Tyagi, International Technical Secretary; and Upkar Singh Virk, General Secretary. State-level representatives present included MLA and General Secretary of Jharkhand State Kho-Kho Association Mathura Prasad Mahto, Patron MLA C. P. Singh, Chairman Santosh Prasad, General Secretary Naveen Kumar Thakur, Vice President Vinay Kumar Jaiswal, Joint Secretary Alok Kumar, Dr. Subhash Sahu, Rohit Kumar Singh, Ranchi District Secretary Sunil Kumar Yadav, Joint Secretary Ravi Munda, Shri Monu Shukla, Amit Kumar Yadav, and Tapan Raut.
