India News : In a major push towards employment generation, the Government of India will organize the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela across 47 locations nationwide today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various government departments and ministries through a video conference at 11 AM.

According to a press release issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), this employment drive reflects PM Modi’s continued commitment to making employment creation a national priority. So far, over 1 million (10 lakh) appointment letters have already been issued through various Rozgar Melas held across the country.
The new recruits will join key government departments including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Labour and Employment, and several others.
The Rozgar Mela aims not only to provide jobs but also to empower the youth and actively involve them in nation-building. Through this large-scale initiative, the government seeks to strengthen public service delivery by infusing new talent into the system.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also shared highlights of the Prime Minister’s upcoming event on its official social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, further amplifying the significance of this nationwide program.
By conducting these melas simultaneously at multiple venues, the government ensures wider geographical outreach, offering job opportunities to candidates from diverse regions and backgrounds.
The event is expected to inspire confidence among young job seekers and highlight the government’s ongoing efforts to tackle unemployment. PM Modi will also address the new recruits during the program, encouraging them to contribute wholeheartedly to their roles in the public sector.
With the 16th Rozgar Mela being conducted successfully today, this marks another milestone in the government’s larger employment initiative, further solidifying efforts to deliver transparent and timely recruitment in central services.
