India News : On the occasion of the New Year, President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and several other leaders extended warm greetings to the nation through social media. Their messages highlighted happiness, democracy, social justice, progress, and environmental responsibility.
President Droupadi Murmu, in her New Year message, said that the New Year is an opportunity for positive change, self-reflection, and renewed resolutions. She also urged citizens to further strengthen their commitment toward environmental conservation, calling it a collective responsibility for a sustainable future.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings for the New Year 2026, wishing everyone good health, prosperity, and success. He expressed hope that the coming year would bring peace, happiness, and satisfaction in people’s personal and professional lives, along with success in their endeavors.
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, shared his message on social media, wishing everyone a happy New Year. He said the New Year should bring joy, good health, and new opportunities for success in the lives of all citizens.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge linked New Year wishes with the protection of democratic values. He appealed to citizens to unite and turn the New Year into a mass movement for safeguarding the rights of the weaker sections, including the right to work, the right to vote, and the right to live with dignity. Kharge emphasized employment for youth, women’s safety, farmers’ prosperity, and dignity for those at the bottom of society as shared national goals.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, in his message, stressed humanity, love, and social justice. He dedicated the New Year to all “PDA sentinels” who are fighting to protect democracy and constitutional rights. He extended greetings with a resolve to strengthen equality, respect, and harmony in society.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin shared his New Year message in both Tamil and English. He said that the people of Tamil Nadu are moving forward together toward greater success and expressed confidence that the coming year would be one of collective progress.
