Offbeat News : After nearly three and a half months of anticipation, Dhurandhar 2 has finally hit theatres on March 19. Ever since the release of its first installment in December 2025, audiences had been eagerly waiting for the sequel, and that excitement clearly reflected in its advance bookings and preview shows.
A day before its official release, special paid previews were आयोजित on the evening of March 18. The film received an overwhelming response, collecting over ₹42 crore gross through advance bookings alone. However, several theatres faced issues due to delayed content delivery, leading to cancellations and interrupted screenings.
In some locations, shows were either cancelled entirely or stopped midway. Despite these disruptions, theatres ensured proper refunds for affected viewers. Even after accounting for refunds, the film is estimated to have earned at least ₹35 crore from previews.
With this strong start, Dhurandhar 2 has comfortably surpassed the preview record of Stree 2, which had earned around ₹11 crore. This means the sequel has performed multiple times better in preview collections.
Interestingly, the preview earnings of Dhurandhar 2 have even exceeded the opening day collection of its predecessor, Dhurandhar, which had collected करीब ₹33 crore on its first day.
The massive turnout clearly indicates the film’s strong buzz among audiences. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is expected to deliver a record-breaking opening day, with heavy advance bookings already in place.
