India News : Following the NEET-UG paper leak controversy, the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency have reportedly put in place an unprecedented security framework for the Re-NEET examination scheduled for June 21.
To ensure complete confidentiality, all experts involved in setting the question papers, moderating them, and translating them into Hindi, English, and other languages have been moved to a highly secure, undisclosed location and placed under strict isolation.
Experts to Remain Isolated Until Exam Day
According to officials, the paper setters and translators will remain in this “lockdown” environment until the examination concludes on June 21.
During this period, they will not be allowed to meet outsiders or communicate with anyone beyond authorized personnel. The move comes amid concerns from more than 2.2 million candidates affected by the cancellation of the earlier examination.
First Layer of Security: No Phones, No Internet
Officials said the new security arrangement follows a multi-layered approach.
All mobile phones, laptops, and personal communication devices belonging to experts have reportedly been confiscated or restricted. Internet access and external communication have been tightly controlled, and even smartwatches are not permitted inside the secure facility.
Every individual entering or leaving the premises is being closely monitored and documented, with access restricted to only a limited number of authorized officials.
Air Force May Be Used for Question Paper Transport
Officials told media sources that the entire process—from question paper preparation and printing to packaging, storage, and transportation—has been compartmentalized so that no single individual or group has access to the complete operational chain.
The government is also reportedly considering the use of Indian Air Force aircraft to securely transport question papers to examination centers across the country.
Round-the-Clock Social Media Monitoring
Authorities are also maintaining 24-hour surveillance of digital platforms, including WhatsApp, Telegram, social media networks, and online forums, to prevent the circulation of fake question papers, misinformation campaigns, or suspicious activities.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has reportedly directed officials to eliminate all shortcomings identified during the previous examination cycle.
