Bihar News : The pathology department at Araria Sadar Hospital has been equipped with advanced machines, enabling the hospital to provide 127 types of blood tests. The new facility is expected to reduce the need for patients to visit private pathology centres for diagnostic tests. Important tests such as thyroid testing will also be available at the hospital.
A separate machine has also been installed for hormonal tests. These tests will be provided to patients free of cost. The facility has been launched by the government under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, with tests being conducted through Science House Lab.
Sample Collection Centres to Be Set Up Across Blocks
Spoke centres have been established in all blocks of the district to extend the diagnostic facility to patients in rural areas. Samples will be collected at these centres and transported through runners to the hub centre in Araria for testing.
The entire facility will remain available 24 hours a day. This is expected to reduce the difficulty faced by patients from rural areas who otherwise have to travel to Araria for diagnostic tests.
