Volvo Bus Rams Into Truck on Yamuna Expressway, Four Killed, 19 Injured

India News : Four passengers were killed and 19 others injured after a Volvo bus rammed into a trailer truck on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district.

According to police, the accident occurred near Milestone 112 under the jurisdiction of Raya Police Station. The Volvo bus was travelling from Lucknow to Noida when it crashed into a trailer moving ahead of it on the expressway.

Police teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the accident and launched a rescue operation with the help of local residents. All 19 injured passengers were shifted to the district hospital by ambulance, where they are undergoing treatment under medical supervision.

Officials confirmed that four people died in the crash. The bodies have been taken into custody and efforts are underway to establish the identities of the deceased.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the speeding bus collided with the truck from behind. Around 65 passengers were travelling on the bus, most of whom were asleep at the time of the accident. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the bus, triggering panic and chaos among the passengers.
