India News : A shocking incident was reported on Thursday morning from Puraina village under the Visheshwarganj police station area in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district, where a man allegedly hacked his own mother to death with an axe.
According to preliminary information, Chhailu, son of Bhagwandin, allegedly attacked his 52-year-old mother, Kanya Devi, repeatedly with an axe. She suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Kanya Devi is survived by three sons—Sanjay, Raju, and Chhailu. Initial investigations indicate that Chhailu was responsible for the murder. However, the exact motive behind the crime has not yet been officially established.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Visheshwarganj Station House Officer Sandeep Kumar Dwivedi reached the spot with a police team. The accused was immediately taken into custody, and the crime scene was secured for investigation.
Station House Officer Sandeep Dubey said that the body has been taken into police custody. After completing the necessary legal formalities, it will be sent for postmortem examination. Police are investigating the case, and further legal action is underway.
