Kolkata : To ensure a safe, comfortable, and hassle-free journey for Kanwar pilgrims travelling to the revered Tarakeswar Dham during the holy month of Shravan, several social organisations have joined hands to provide essential services along the pilgrimage route.

A large-scale service camp has been established through the joint initiative of Maa Bhavatarini Seva Ashram Trust, Shiv Bhakt Mandal (Rishra, Hooghly), and Edu Swasthya Mission & Welfare.

The camp offers a range of facilities for devotees arriving from different parts of the country, including hygienic vegetarian meals, safe drinking water, and comfortable overnight accommodation. To address health concerns arising from the long barefoot journey, a dedicated primary medical care camp has also been set up. Doctors and volunteers are available round the clock to provide first aid, medicines, and medical assistance for fatigue, blisters, and other travel-related ailments.

Rajesh Kumar, associated with the initiative, said that serving devotees of Lord Shiva is the truest form of worship. He added that all participating organisations are committed to carrying out this humanitarian service with devotion and selflessness throughout the Kanwar Yatra.
