Offbeat News : South Indian actress Shehzahn Padamsee has taken a new step in her creative journey by entering the world of singing with her latest song, Raat Kaaliyan. After establishing herself as an actress, Shehzahn is now exploring her long-standing passion for music.
Shehzahn said she has always had a strong connection with singing, but her dream of pursuing music took a back seat for some time because she remained busy with continuous film projects.
From acting to a new musical journey
According to Shehzahn, her journey into acting began unexpectedly, and she enjoyed the experience of working in films. As she continued receiving one project after another, her acting career kept moving forward.
However, after playing the role of Parul in the comedy film Housefull 2, she realised that there was another side to her creativity that she wanted to explore. This eventually encouraged her to take music more seriously.
A passion for singing that remained alive
Shehzahn said that despite her busy acting career, her interest in music never faded. She eventually decided to give her passion for singing a serious direction and began working towards her musical journey.
Her new song, Raat Kaaliyan, marks her entry into the world of singing.

Shehzahn also spoke about the important role played by her mother, Sharon Prabhakar, who is among India’s early pop singers.
According to Shehzahn, her mother’s experience and guidance gave a strong foundation to her musical journey. The two spent a long time practising together, helping her prepare for this new chapter in music.
