Bihar News : The Bihar government carried out a major administrative and police reshuffle on Saturday, assigning new responsibilities to three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and transferring 27 Bihar Police Service officers. The Home Department has issued the notification regarding the new postings.
Sunil Kumar, Managing Director of the Bihar State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation, has been appointed Director, Audit and Finance. Purnia Deputy Development Commissioner Anjani Kumar has been appointed Commissioner BB Ramji.
Jeevika Chief Executive Officer Ananya Singh has been relieved of the additional charge of BB Ramji. Abhay Jha, Additional Secretary in the Rural Works Department, has been appointed Director of the Bihar State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation.
44 Officials Also Get New Postings
Apart from the three IAS officers, 44 officials who had been awaiting posting have also been given new responsibilities.
The list includes Sanjeet Kumar, who was the Sub-Divisional Officer of Jagdishpur during the high-profile Bharat Tiwari encounter case in Bhojpur. He has been posted as Land Reforms Deputy Collector of Supaul Sadar.
Sanjeet Kumar had been removed from the Jagdishpur SDO post following a demand from Bharat Tiwari’s family. Since then, he had been serving at the headquarters while waiting for a new posting.
27 Police Officers Transferred
Twenty-seven police officers have also been transferred. ASP Sonu Kumar Rai has been given a higher charge and appointed SP Administration, Patna.
Umeshwar Chaudhary has been appointed SDPO, Phulwarisharif, while Premchand Singh has been posted as SDPO-2, Chhapra Sadar.

According to departmental information, Polast Kumar has been posted as SDPO, Mahua; Sushil Kumar as SDPO, Ara Sadar; Prashant Kumar as SDPO, Begusarai Sadar; Rajesh Kumar as SDPO, Hathua; Ajit Pratap Singh Chauhan as SDPO, Dhamdaha, Purnia; Amarkant as SDPO, Manjhaul; and Satish Suman as SDPO, Samastipur Sadar.
Rakesh Kumar Ranjan has been posted as SDPO, Biharsharif Sadar; Anand Mohan Gupta as SDPO, Siwan Sadar; Rakesh Kumar Bhaskar as SDPO-2, Bettiah Sadar; and Kripalchandra Jaiswal as SDPO-2, Gopalganj Sadar.
Pankaj Kumar Mishra has been posted as SDPO, Areraj; Nishikant Bharti as SDPO, Simri Bakhtiyarpur; Chandrabhushan as SDPO, Daudnagar; Abhinav Kumar as SDPO, Wazirganj; Pankaj Kumar Singh as SDPO, Triveniganj; Satyendra Ram as SDPO, Ramnagar; Ajay Kumar as SDPO, Madhepura Sadar; Pawan Kumar as SDPO, Birpur; Pawan Kumar Singh as SDPO, Udaikishanganj; Pankaj Kumar Singh as SDPO, Saharsa Sadar; and Abhay Kumar as SDPO, Kharagpur.
Gorakh Ram has been posted as DSP, BSAP-4 Dumraon, while Gulshan Kumar has been appointed DSP, Gaya Rail.
