Bihar News : Urban Development and Housing Minister Nitish Mishra inspected the Patna Metro depot on Thursday and reviewed the progress of the Patna Metro Rail Project in detail. He directed officials to complete the project’s निर्धारित targets within the stipulated timeline and ensure the required pace of construction.
Before the review meeting, Nitish Mishra planted saplings on the Patna Metro depot premises. He stressed the importance of environmental conservation and maintaining a clean and green environment across the project area.
Progress of Patna Metro Project Reviewed
Nitish Mishra said Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s vision is to develop Bihar’s cities as modern, well-planned urban centres with better connectivity. He said Patna Metro is an important project towards fulfilling this vision.
During the review meeting, Urban Development and Housing Department Secretary-cum-Managing Director, PMRCL, Sandeep Kumar R. Pudkalcutty, briefed the minister on the progress of construction work across various corridors and sections of the Patna Metro project.
He also provided details about major milestones, stipulated timelines and the upcoming work plan. The meeting reviewed the current status of construction, achievement of निर्धारित targets and priorities for the next stages.
Officials also discussed the obstacles and challenges being faced during project implementation. Necessary measures for their speedy resolution were considered during the meeting.
Minister Directs Officials to Speed Up Construction
Nitish Mishra directed officials to accelerate construction work and complete all targets according to the निर्धारित timeline. He also called for regular and effective monitoring of the project.
The minister directed officials to ensure prompt resolution of any obstacles arising during implementation. He said all necessary steps should be taken to complete the Patna Metro project within the stipulated timeframe so that people can soon benefit from better, convenient and safe public transport and connectivity.
Focus on Traffic Management During Construction
Nitish Mishra directed officials to ensure that the public faces no inconvenience during construction. He asked the concerned authorities to put effective traffic management arrangements in place at construction sites.
He also directed officials to provide proper information about alternative routes and necessary diversions and ensure smooth movement of traffic on roads.
Quality and Safety Cannot Be Compromised
The minister stressed the need for better and effective coordination among all agencies, officials and contractors associated with the Patna Metro project.
He made it clear that while ensuring timely completion, there would be no compromise on the quality and safety of construction work. He directed officials to ensure compliance with prescribed standards at every stage of the project.
