Bihar News : The 29th Passing Out Parade was held at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, on Saturday, where 253 officer cadets successfully completed their training and were commissioned as officers in the Indian Army.
The cadets belonged to the fourth batch of the Short Service Commission, Technical Entry programme. The passing-out batch included 218 male and 35 female officer cadets.
During the parade, the cadets displayed military discipline, courage and leadership skills as they completed an important stage in their journey to becoming officers of the Indian Army.
Vietnam Army Officer Reviews Passing Out Parade
The Reviewing Officer for the parade was Lieutenant General Le Van Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.
He reviewed the Passing Out Parade of the young military officers and appreciated their performance.
The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, and Lieutenant General Sandeep Singh, Commandant, Officers Training Academy, Gaya, along with several senior military officers and dignitaries.
OTA Symphony Band Adds Patriotic Spirit
During the Passing Out Parade, the OTA Symphony Band presented patriotic tunes and military marches.
The band’s performances added an atmosphere of enthusiasm, discipline and pride to the ceremony.
The officer cadets followed military traditions and discipline as they completed a significant milestone in their journey towards becoming officers of the Indian Army.
Call for Innovation and Future-Ready Leadership
Addressing the passing-out officer cadets, Reviewing Officer Lieutenant General Le Van Huong advised them to embrace innovation and continuously update their knowledge.
He said young military leaders would need to lead with purpose while also mastering emerging technologies. According to him, adapting to changing circumstances is essential for military officers in an increasingly evolving battlefield environment.
He also urged the young officers to develop forward-looking leadership while upholding the core values and proud military traditions of the Indian Army.
Lieutenant General Le Van Huong said maintaining a balance between tradition and modern thinking would be essential for effective command in both peace and war.
A New Chapter for OTA Gaya
With 253 new officers commissioned into the Indian Army, another important chapter has been added to the military tradition of the Officers Training Academy, Gaya.
The passing-out parade marked the successful completion of training for the fourth batch of Short Service Commission, Technical Entry officer cadets.
