Katihar: Bihar Transport Secretary and Katihar district in-charge secretary Rajkumar on Tuesday conducted a ground inspection of flood-affected areas under the Tingharia Panchayat of Kursela block and reviewed the ongoing relief operations.
He directed the district administration to ensure prompt relief for flood-affected families and speed up the distribution of GR assistance.
Secretary Interacts With Flood-Affected Families
During the inspection, Rajkumar interacted directly with flood-affected families and listened to their problems.
He also reviewed the arrangements for community kitchens, medical camps, animal relief camps and safe drinking water being operated at the administrative level.
The in-charge secretary said that the state government was fully standing with people affected by the flood during this difficult period and that no family should face a shortage of basic facilities.
Instructions for Continuous Monitoring and Medical Facilities
District Magistrate Ashutosh Dwivedi, Additional Collector (Disaster Management) and several senior district officials were present during the inspection.
The in-charge secretary directed officials to maintain continuous monitoring of water levels and ensure adequate availability of medicines at health camps.
He also instructed the district administration to continue relief operations efficiently and ensure that assistance reaches flood-affected families without delay.
