Supaul: The National Ultrasound Centre in Kishanpur block of Supaul district was sealed following a surprise inspection after officials found a technician conducting ultrasound examinations at the facility.
The inspection was carried out at the National Ultrasound Centre located in Kishanpur. The In-Charge Medical Officer of Kishanpur was also present during the inspection.
During the inspection, officials found that ultrasound examinations were being conducted by a technician at the centre. Treating the matter seriously, authorities initiated legal action against the concerned staff member on the directions of the Civil Surgeon, Supaul.
Centre Sealed Over Alleged Violation of Rules
The National Ultrasound Centre was sealed over the alleged violation of prescribed rules and regulations.
The action by the Health Department has raised concerns among operators of ultrasound centres regarding compliance with prescribed operational standards.
Officials said that action would be taken in accordance with the rules against any institution found violating regulations during inspections.
SDM Confirms Sealing Action
SDM Manohar Kumar Sahu said that sealing action was being carried out against the centre.
The authorities have made it clear that any violation of rules detected during inspections will invite action as per the prescribed legal provisions.
