Hazaribagh: An incident involving gunfire occurred late Thursday night at Hotel AK International, located in Matwari within the jurisdiction of the Korra police station in Hazaribagh. The perpetrators fired four rounds at the hotel, causing widespread panic. While the hotel’s glass panes were shattered by the gunfire, no injuries were reported. The police are currently examining CCTV footage.
Following the incident, hotel staff alerted the local police. ASP Amit Kumar, SDPO Rupak Kumar Singh, Korra Station House Officer (SHO) Nemdhari Rajak, along with SHOs and personnel from several other city police stations, arrived at the scene and initiated a thorough investigation. The police are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify the assailants. Authorities have stated that the perpetrators will be apprehended soon. At present, an atmosphere of panic prevails in the area. Hazaribagh SP Aman Kumar stated that the matter is under investigation, and further details can only be provided once the inquiry is complete.
