India News : The Jharkhand Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a major raid in Delhi on Tuesday while searching for Snigdha Singh, wife of businessman Vinay Singh—accused in a major land scam involving automobile company Nexgen.
The raid took place around 4 AM at the government-provided residence of a Union Joint Secretary in Vasant Vihar. However, Snigdha managed to leave the premises shortly before the ACB team arrived.
The ACB has detained her son, Sanat Kumar, for questioning. Officials clarified that he has not been arrested but is being interrogated for crucial information related to the case.
Son reveals key details during interrogation
According to sources, ACB’s technical surveillance team had been tracking Snigdha’s digital footprint for several days. Her location was traced to the Vasant Vihar government residence, prompting an immediate raid.
During questioning, Sanat is said to have shared information regarding the movable and immovable properties of Vinay Singh, former IAS officer Vinay Chaubey, and his mother Snigdha Singh.
New property details emerge
The ACB seized multiple digital devices from the raided residence. These devices are now under forensic examination.
During the search, the ACB learned about a new property—C-24 in Vasant Vihar—allegedly purchased as a benami asset. Officials suspect it may have been used to conceal illegal transactions and activities.
The ACB team is expected to carry out more raids in connection with the widening probe into the land scam.
