Jharkhand News : As part of the Prime Minister’s TB-Free India Campaign, the Adani Foundation, Godda, has adopted 300 tuberculosis patients undergoing treatment in the district. In a significant initiative, the foundation today distributed nutrition kits to 150 TB patients from the Godda Municipal Council area. The remaining 150 patients will receive their kits tomorrow, August 13, 2025, at the Community Health Center in Poreyahat.

The event was inaugurated with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by Godda Deputy Commissioner Anjali Yadav, Adani Power Plant CBO Prasun Chakraborty, and Godda Sadar Hospital Civil Surgeon Dr. Subhash Chandra Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that while the government provides free treatment for all TB patients, timely medication, nutritious food, and community support significantly accelerate recovery. She commended the Adani Foundation for taking a commendable step that not only aids patients but also raises awareness about TB in society.
Adani Power Godda Plant Head Prasun Chakraborty stated, “The Adani Foundation aims to bring real change to the lives of patients, not just offer financial assistance. These nutrition kits will help boost the immunity of patients and support their fight against TB.”
District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Kumar Preetam Dutta, present at the event, described the initiative as a powerful step toward achieving the Healthy Godda goal. He urged corporates, cooperatives, elected representatives, political parties, NGOs, and other stakeholders to join such collaborative efforts.
Also in attendance were Adani Foundation CSR Head Santosh Singh, along with team members Rohit Bharti, Abhay Verma, Deepak Kumar, and Vijay Kumar Thakur, as well as representatives of the Municipal Council.
This initiative by the Adani Foundation is not only a solid step toward a TB-free Godda but also a shining example of true Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in action.
