India News : A video of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar allegedly threatening a woman IPS officer has gone viral. The incident reportedly took place on August 31 in Kurdu village of Solapur district, where IPS officer Anjana Krishna was acting against illegal murum mining.
In the video, Krishna is seen on a phone call with Pawar. He can be heard telling her to stop the operation, saying: “This is Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. I order you to stop the action.” When Krishna questioned the authenticity of the call, Pawar allegedly warned, “I will take action against you.” The two later spoke again via video call.
Reacting to the controversy, NCP state president Sunil Tatkare said the video was deliberately leaked and misrepresented. He claimed Pawar’s intention was not to block action against illegal mining but to pacify party workers. He also insisted that Pawar has never supported unlawful activities.
