Offbeat News : The shooting of Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated film Samuk has officially begun. The project is being developed as a large-scale survival-action thriller and is directed by Kanishk Varma, while Vipul Amrutlal Shah is producing the film.
The makers are preparing Samuk for a pan-Indian theatrical release. Work on the project has reportedly been underway for more than two years.
The film is expected to bring together military realism, survival horror and alien mythology in a distinctive setting. The makers have also brought international talent on board to present this ambitious world convincingly on the big screen.
International Talent Joins the Creative Team
The responsibility of designing the film’s central monster has been given to Academy Award-nominated creature designer Alec Gillis.
Gillis has previously worked on well-known films including Alien and Predator. His involvement is expected to play an important role in developing the creature design for Samuk.
British Action Director to Design Action Sequences
British action director Luke Tumber will design the film’s high-octane action sequences.
