The film created history by becoming the biggest opening day grosser for a Hindi film, earning ₹145 crore in India. It surpassed previous records held by films like Stree 2, Pathaan, Animal, and Jawan.

Globally, Dhurandhar 2 became the fastest film to cross ₹500 crore, achieving the milestone within just three days of release. It also recorded the highest opening weekend collection ever, earning ₹384 crore and beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action spy drama has emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2026 so far, overtaking Varun Dhawan’s Border 2.

The film has also set a new benchmark by becoming the first Hindi film to cross ₹1,000 crore in India alone. In doing so, it surpassed major hits like Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Aamir Khan’s Dangal in domestic performance milestones.

Additionally, the film has overtaken Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in both domestic and worldwide collections. Combined with its first installment, the Dhurandhar franchise has now crossed ₹3,000 crore globally, becoming the first Indian film series to achieve this feat.

The film also set a record for the highest earnings through paid previews, collecting ₹43 crore before its official release—another first for Indian cinema.
