Employee Found Hanging at Under-Construction Adani Power Plant

Mirzapur: Sensation spread in the under-construction Adani Power plant premises located in the Dadri forest area under Madihan police station limits of Mirzapur district, Uttar Pradesh, after the body of an employee was found hanging on Tuesday night. Panic and chaos erupted inside the plant campus following the incident. Police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and sent it for postmortem examination while initiating an investigation.

According to reports, the deceased was a 35-year-old man from West Bengal who was working at the under-construction power plant. He had been living in Mirzapur away from his family for employment. Co-workers said he was seen working normally with them until Tuesday evening, but later at night, his body was found hanging.

The incident left fellow workers shocked and grieving, creating an atmosphere of mourning within the plant premises.

After receiving information, the Madihan police arrived at the site and brought the body down. The victim was taken in the company ambulance to the Community Health Center in Madihan, where doctors declared him dead. Police later sent the body for postmortem and began questioning employees while inspecting the scene.

Madihan Station House Officer Balamukund Mishra said that the matter is under investigation. The exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report is received.
