Bihar News : Darbhanga MP and BJP Whip in the Lok Sabha Dr Gopal Ji Thakur inspected the Akashvani Darbhanga Centre on Tuesday. During the visit, he sought information from officials and employees about the centre’s functioning, broadcasting arrangements and locally produced programmes.
During the inspection, the MP said Akashvani Darbhanga is an important medium for taking the voice of Mithila to a wider audience. He said Akashvani has played a significant role in showcasing Mithila’s rich culture, folk traditions, art, literature and regional talent to the people.
Discussion on Broadcasting and Programmes
Dr Gopal Ji Thakur discussed broadcasting arrangements and programmes with the centre’s officials and staff. He also sought details about efforts to provide better content to listeners.
The MP said programmes connected with the local language, culture and sentiments of the region should be made more effective. He said this would also help connect the younger generation with its cultural heritage.
