Jharkhand Cabinet Approves 66 Proposals Including Road Safety Rules, Art Academies, and Rehabilitation Commission

Jharkhand News : The Jharkhand Cabinet has approved extending the Manaki Munda Scholarship to female students studying in all engineering, polytechnic, and other educational institutions across the state. The decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting held at Project Bhawan on Thursday.

Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel informed that earlier the scholarship was only available to students of the Jharkhand Institute of Technology, Ranchi. With the new amendments, female students across the state’s educational institutions can now benefit. The application process for the scholarship has also been simplified.

The Cabinet approved a total of 40 proposals, including measures for female employees’ leave, health benefits for legislators, construction of a new women’s polytechnic in Godda, hostel construction for colleges, promotion of tourism, and support for driving training institutes.

Key Decisions:

  • Female employees will now receive 100% salary for the first year and 80% for the second year of 2-year leave.

  • Health facilities extended to legislators and former legislators and their families.

  • Rs 88 crore approved for constructing a women’s polytechnic college in Godda.

  • Sarath women’s school upgraded to a full degree college.

  • Proposed hostel for Ranchi Women’s College to be built in Morabadi.

  • Daily allowance for NCC cadets increased.

  • Jharkhand City Tourist Tax rules approved to promote tourism and generate revenue.

  • Rs 22.03 crore approved for promoting driving training institutes; the central government will provide Rs 17 crore grant.

  • 20% special salary approved for staff at Netarhat School to boost morale.

  • Jharkhand Government Servants Grievance Redressal Rules approved for quick resolution of issues.

  • Reservation roster for appointments in state universities clarified.

  • Daltonganj Station in Palamu officially renamed Medininagar Station.

  • Outsourcing approved for hiring staff for upcoming census work.

  • Extension of services from Redbird Institute approved.

This series of decisions reflects the state government’s focus on women’s empowerment, education, infrastructure, and administrative reforms.
