Bihar News : Kangan Ghat Parking Project: A six-storey multi-level parking facility is under construction on a vacant plot opposite Kangan Ghat Gurudwara, a short distance from the Kangan Ghat exit of JP Ganga Path in Patna City.
Built at a cost of ₹92.65 crore, the parking facility will have space for 341 cars and 10 buses. According to Sumit Singh Kalshi, Director of the construction company, the project is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Limited is constructing the facility on an area of around two acres.
Parking space for 341 cars and 10 buses
The six-storey facility will provide parking for 341 cars and 10 buses. It will also have 16 dormitories, two luggage rooms, two car lifts and four passenger lifts.
The complex will include greenery and seating arrangements, along with toilet and bathroom facilities for visitors.
Foundation was laid on March 17
The foundation of the six-storey multi-level parking facility was laid on March 17 by Giani Baldev Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib, along with Singh Sahibs and saints after an Ardas.
Managing Committee Chairman Sardar Jagjot Singh Sohi said on Monday that the vision of the then Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in 2025 is set to take shape.
Major relief for religious tourists
The parking project is being developed by the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Limited and is expected to provide significant convenience to tourists visiting the area.
Visitors from across India and abroad travelling to Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib, Bal Lila Gurudwara, Chhoti Patan Devi and other religious sites will have better parking facilities for their vehicles.
