Nalanda Plans 225 New Sudha Centres to Boost Women’s Employment

Bihar News : In a joint initiative by COMFED and Jeevika, another step has been taken towards the economic empowerment of rural women and providing them with self-employment opportunities. As part of the initiative, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Sara Ashraf formally inaugurated Nalanda’s second Sudha Sale Centre on Saturday.

The centre has been allotted to Jeevika Didi Vandana Devi in Sare Panchayat of Asthawan block.

A total of 225 new Sudha Sale Centres are planned across Nalanda district to help women become financially independent. The initiative is expected to create new employment opportunities at the local level and improve the income of Jeevika women.

Focus on Women’s Empowerment

During the inauguration, DDC Sara Ashraf congratulated Vandana Devi and said that connecting women with employment is one of the most effective ways to empower them.

She expressed hope that Vandana Devi would set a strong example of self-reliance through the successful operation of the centre.

Officials Extend Best Wishes

COMFED Chief Executive Arvind Kumar Singh, Jeevika DPM Sanjay Prasad Paswan, Livestock Manager Rajiv Kumar, Communication Manager Santosh Kumar, BPM Kumar Gaurav and Regional Coordinator Om Pratap Singh, along with other staff members, were present on the occasion.

All the officials extended their best wishes to Vandana Devi for the successful operation of the centre.

The initiative is expected to provide a boost to women entrepreneurship as well as strengthen the rural economy.
