Patna: Acting on information received by the Enforcement Intelligence Bureau (EIB) team of the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department, the Patna District Excise team conducted raids at two separate locations in the district on Wednesday.
A total of 204 litres of foreign liquor was recovered during the two operations.
112.5 Litres Seized in East Lohaniapur
The first raid was conducted in East Lohaniapur under Kadamkuan police station area.
During the operation, the team recovered 112.5 litres of foreign liquor. The seized liquor was handed over to the Patna District Excise team for further action, including the process of registering a case against Raja Sahni and Shankar Kumar, who were reported to be absconding.
91.5 Litres Recovered in Fatehpur Chak
The second raid took place at Fatehpur Chak under Didarganj police station area.
The team recovered 91.5 litres of foreign liquor from the location. One person was arrested during the operation and handed over to the Patna District Excise team for necessary legal proceedings.
Further Action Underway
According to the Excise Department, a total of 204 litres of foreign liquor was recovered from the two locations.
Further action in both cases is being taken as per the prescribed legal procedure.
