Bihar News : Inspector Kajal Kumari, posted in Danapur, Patna, said the Bihar government is providing two-wheelers to women police personnel to improve law and order and ensure faster police response. The initiative will help women police officers reach locations quickly and take effective action in matters related to the safety of women and female students.

The safety of women and girls remains a key priority for any sensitive and responsible government. With the same approach, the Bihar government is also focusing on women’s education, empowerment and self-reliance along with their safety.

4,700 Two-Wheelers Flagged Off for Police Didi

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary launched several initiatives aimed at the respect, safety, education, empowerment and self-reliance of Bihar’s daughters and sisters.

During a programme held at Gyan Bhawan in Patna, the Chief Minister inaugurated and flagged off 4,700 two-wheelers for Police Didi, also known as the Abhaya Brigade. Women police personnel tied a rakhi to Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on the occasion and expressed their gratitude.

The Chief Minister said the two-wheelers would enable women police personnel to carry out duties related to the safety of women and school and college-going students more effectively.

Bihar has around 40,000 women police personnel. Their significant presence in the police force reflects women’s empowerment and the changing picture of Bihar.
