Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday participated in the State-Level Sahayog Programme at the programme hall located in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. A total of 137 applicants attended the programme, where their cases were taken up for disposal.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that the concerned departments continue resolving public grievances within the stipulated time so that people receive prompt relief.
He said the timely resolution of complaints through the Sahayog Programme has strengthened public confidence and stressed the need to maintain that trust. He directed all officials and employees to extend full cooperation in disposing of applications, warning that no laxity would be tolerated.
Applicants Present Their Problems Before the Chief Minister
During the meeting, applicants from across the state presented their individual problems before the Chief Minister.
Cases related to the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Education Department, Home Department, Rural Works Department, Health Department, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Social Welfare Department and other departments were brought before him.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned District Magistrates and departments to resolve the applicants’ problems within the prescribed time limit.
Following the Chief Minister’s directions, the concerned departments and District Magistrates assured the applicants that their issues would be resolved in a timely manner.
Applicants whose problems had already been resolved appreciated the State-Level Sahayog Programme and said it had helped speed up the resolution of public grievances. They also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister.
Complex Cases Can Be Taken Up at State Level
The Chief Minister said that resolving people’s problems and ensuring justice was the government’s responsibility and that the Sahayog Programme was playing an important role in this process.
He said applicants whose problems have already been resolved do not need to travel to Patna. Those facing complex issues that cannot be resolved at the district level may approach the State-Level Sahayog Programme in Patna for a solution.
Samrat Choudhary said the government’s objective was to ensure transparent, impartial and time-bound resolution of every citizen’s grievance.
He said a large number of public problems had been resolved through Sahayog camps. The State-Level Sahayog Programme has been arranged for complex cases that remain unresolved so that such complaints can be reviewed again and appropriate and prompt decisions can be taken.
CM Directs Faster Benefits for Eligible Applicants
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that eligible applicants receive old-age pensions and ration cards without delay.
He said no eligible person should be deprived of government scheme benefits because of technical reasons.
The Chief Minister said the government’s objective was to ensure that people’s problems are resolved within 30 days through Sahayog camps. He directed all officials and employees to deal with public grievances within the prescribed time frame with complete transparency and sensitivity.
He said the ultimate aim was to resolve people’s problems and ensure their satisfaction.
The programme was attended by ministers of the concerned departments, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Lokesh Kumar Singh and Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh.
Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries of the concerned departments and applicants were also present. District Magistrates, Senior Superintendents of Police, Superintendents of Police and senior officials from all districts joined the programme through video conferencing.
