Nalanda: Sainik School Nalanda celebrated Teachers’ Day with a series of special events organised by the staff and cadets, honouring the contribution of teachers to education and nation-building.

The programme began with a special morning assembly, during which the Principal, Col Bhupender Kumar, along with members of the staff, paid floral tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Addressing the cadets and staff, the Principal highlighted the important role played by teachers in nation-building and in shaping future leaders. He felicitated the faculty and staff for their valuable contributions and urged them to draw inspiration from the life and ideals of Dr Radhakrishnan, remembering their commitment to serving the nation through education.

A special role-reversal activity was also organised during school hours, in which senior cadets stepped into the role of teachers and conducted classes for junior students. The activity provided cadets with hands-on experience in mentorship and helped them develop leadership qualities, confidence and a sense of responsibility. It also encouraged patience, empathy and a deeper appreciation of the responsibilities and challenges faced by teachers.

Later in the day, a friendly cricket match was organised between the staff and cadets. Both teams displayed impressive cricketing skills and participated with great enthusiasm, competitive spirit and sportsmanship.
