Intelligence Agencies Alerted: Bangladesh Now Aims to Spread Terror in India

World News: The interim head of the Bangladesh government, Muhammad Yunus, seems to be showing his true colors. Known for aligning with terror-supporting nations like Pakistan and Turkey, Yunus is now reportedly reviving Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), a banned terror outfit, to spread terrorism in India. This has exposed the radical side of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. According to Indian intelligence agencies, JMB is becoming active once again after being dormant for nearly eight years, posing a serious threat to India’s northeastern borders and West Bengal.

JMB is now reportedly seeking support from al-Qaeda to bolster its strength and spread its extremist ideology. While al-Qaeda brings strategic planning, JMB is known for effective ground-level execution. Since Yunus assumed power, several ISI (Pakistani intelligence) officers have visited Bangladesh and met with leaders of radical organizations. Reports suggest that ISI aims to coordinate operations between JMB, al-Qaeda, and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) to target India without interfering in each other’s plans.

Indian intelligence agencies have warned of a large-scale reactivation of JMB, which could pose a direct threat to national security. The organization is allegedly recruiting illegal infiltrators and refugees to act as foot soldiers, thereby conspiring to destabilize India. Since Sheikh Hasina’s departure from power, radical groups have gained a free hand. Not just JMB, but other terror groups are also being reorganized.

JMB’s plot against India is considered extremely dangerous. They are recruiting Rohingyas and illegal immigrants, embedding them in Muslim-majority regions of India under the guise of small-scale labor to avoid suspicion. Secret meetings are reportedly being held to plan attacks. Notably, JMB was behind the 2014 Burdwan blast in West Bengal, where a bomb-making factory was uncovered, and most of those involved were illegal migrants.

Currently, JMB is exploiting vulnerabilities along the West Bengal and Assam borders with Bangladesh. The ongoing political instability in Bangladesh and the diplomatic chill with India have heightened the threat level. Experts believe India needs cooperation from the Bangladeshi government, as was seen during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure. However, the Yunus-led administration is showing a clear tilt toward Pakistan, further straining Indo-Bangladesh relations.
