Jharkhand News : Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, Ranchi, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and cultural pride. The event featured a range of cultural and stage performances by students.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial arrival of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, welcomed by the school band. The national flag was hoisted by Akhileshwar Nath Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of the Vidyalaya Management Committee and Shishu Vikas Mandir Samiti. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”

The school principal, Shri Lalan Kumar, introduced the guests. Student Shivam Kumar delivered a powerful speech in Hindi, emphasizing everyone’s role in nation-building and the importance of collective responsibility in taking the country forward.

The primary section students presented synchronized yoga exercises and displayed various yogic postures. The girls of the primary section sang patriotic songs “Mitti Mein Mil Jawa” and “Shat Shat Naman Bharat Bhoomi Ko,” leaving the audience emotionally moved.

In his address, Chief Guest Shri Akhileshwar Nath Mishra highlighted the need to build our own national systems, stating that only then can we achieve true independence. He stressed the importance of eradicating corruption for a truly free nation.

Students from the secondary section showcased classical and yoga-based dance performances. Student Kriti Kumari delivered a speech in English, reflecting on the long journey of India’s freedom.

A vibrant performance of Nagpuri folk dance celebrated Jharkhand’s cultural heritage. Male students from the secondary section also performed a human pyramid display.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Rakesh Kumar Pandey, in-charge of the senior secondary wing.

The event was graced by prominent members including President Shaktilal Nath Das, Vice President Braj Kishore Jaiswal, Joint Secretary Dr. Dhaneshwar Mahato, Mahavir Singh, Ashish Nath Shahdeo, Dr. Uma Shankar Sharma, Shri Shivnandan Sahu, Dr. Nagendra Srivastava, Shri Lakhan Ji, Satyanarayan Pandey, Shri Narmdeshwar Mishra, Lal Ashok Nath Shahdeo, Vice Principal Meena Kumari, and other dignitaries.
