The explosion was so powerful that flames quickly spread through the power plant. Factory officials reached the site after receiving information about the blast and fire and informed the police.

Fire Brought Under Control After Major Effort

Four to five fire tenders were sent from Ramgarh to the factory. Firefighters worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control.

Panic prevailed inside the factory premises until late at night following the incident.

The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Sanjeev Kumar Kesari of Ranchi, 25-year-old Vineet Mahato of Jageshwar Bihar in Bokaro, and 24-year-old Abhishek Pandey of Garhwa.

The injured worker, Tarun Rajwar, has been admitted to a hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Villagers Demand Compensation and Jobs

A large number of local villagers gathered outside the factory on Saturday morning following the deaths of the three engineers.

The villagers demanded adequate compensation for the families of the deceased employees and employment for one member of each affected family.

Tension prevailed in the area following information that villagers were preparing to block the factory gate.

Unit In-Charge Alleges Management Negligence

Power plant unit in-charge Anurag Tripathi alleged before the media that management negligence was responsible for the accident. According to him, the incident occurred due to rising temperatures and overheating in the plant.

He claimed that he had repeatedly requested the management to install air-conditioning systems to control the temperature, but adequate steps were not taken.

Tripathi further claimed that the accident could have been avoided if proper arrangements for temperature control had been made in time. However, the actual cause of the blast will become clear only after the official investigation is completed.
