Ranchi: Heavy rainfall is likely in eight districts of Jharkhand on Friday, September 11. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for the affected districts, covering parts of northwestern and southern Jharkhand.
The districts likely to receive heavy rainfall include Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar and Chatra in the northwestern region, along with East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan and Simdega in southern Jharkhand.
Madhupur Records Highest Rainfall
During the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall in the state was recorded at Madhupur in Deoghar district, where 80.1 mm of rain was reported.
During the same period, the highest temperature in the state was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature of 21.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Namkum in Ranchi.
Cloudy Skies and Light Rain in Ranchi
Ranchi and its surrounding areas remained cloudy from Thursday morning, with light rainfall recorded in several places. The weather remained pleasant throughout the day.
Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 27.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 22.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
Temperature Recorded Across Major Cities
Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 32.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.6 degrees Celsius. In Daltonganj, the maximum temperature was 32.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25.5 degrees Celsius.
Bokaro recorded a maximum temperature of 31.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.5 degrees Celsius. Chaibasa recorded a maximum temperature of 32.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 23.6 degrees Celsius.
