Ramgarh : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren performed traditional religious rituals at his ancestral residence in Nemra village of Ramgarh district on Saturday, marking the Dashakarma ceremony of his late mother, Rupi Soren.
The Chief Minister observed the rituals according to family traditions and religious customs, paying tribute to his mother alongside other family members. During the ceremony, he also performed the traditional ritual of serving food as part of the customary observances.
The occasion reflected Hemant Soren’s deep emotional bond with his mother and his commitment to upholding family traditions. He remembered her with reverence and paid his respects during the religious proceedings at the family’s ancestral home.
Rupi Soren was the wife of former Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM patriarch Shibu Soren, popularly known as Dishom Guru. Her demise has cast a pall of grief over the Soren family and drawn condolences from political and social circles across the state.
