Mumbai: The film ‘Hanuman Ansh’, which achieved remarkable success at the box office, is now set for an OTT release. Inspired by the life of Neem Karoli Baba, the film will have its digital premiere on SonyLIV on November 27.
Director Vishal Chaturvedi shared the news, noting that after receiving immense love from audiences in theaters, the film will now reach viewers in the comfort of their homes. This comes as welcome news for fans who have been eagerly awaiting its OTT release.
Produced on a modest budget of just two crore rupees and featuring no major stars, the film managed to outperform several big-budget productions. The story revolves around a young man named Lakshminarayan, who, following the passing of his mother, sets out in search of answers to profound questions about life, death, and the divine. During his spiritual journey across North India, he encounters various challenging life experiences—a path that ultimately leads him to a new identity as Neem Karoli Baba. Shobhinav Satya plays the lead role in the film.
Although it started with a slow box office performance, the film gained momentum thanks to strong audience appreciation, leading to a steady rise in its earnings. It grossed 342.44 crore rupees in India and 452.86 crore rupees worldwide. Remaining in theaters for approximately 80 days, the film set a new record by crossing the 300-crore rupee mark in its eighth week.
