Jharkhand News : In a major incident of violence, extremists attacked the Tapin North coal project of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh district late Saturday night. The incident occurred around 12 to 1 a.m. in the Charhi police station area, where members of an outlawed group torched six vehicles belonging to outsourcing firm RKS Company.
Among the vehicles destroyed were a Poklane excavator and a Hyva truck. All six vehicles were completely gutted by the fire. According to reports, the attackers first drained fuel from the vehicles before setting them ablaze.
RKS Company has been carrying out coal mining operations at the site for the past four years.
After the attack, the extremists left behind a leaflet in the name of the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), warning all companies operating at the project site to cease operations immediately. The letter, signed by an individual calling himself Gurudev Ji, threatened severe consequences for anyone who defies the order or resumes work without first communicating with the group.
Police from Charhi station rushed to the spot upon receiving information and have begun an investigation into the matter. No casualties have been reported so far, but the incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of industrial operations in the region.
