Jharkhand News : East Singhbhum district is set to shine on the tourism map with the completion of Jharkhand’s largest ecological park at Chakulia’s Amalagora Road. Spread over 78 hectares (around 195 acres), the grand park will be inaugurated in the first week of October by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Built at a cost of ₹23 crore under the supervision of Ranger Digvijay Singh, the park features four types of musical fountains, a boating club, swimming facilities, Navgrah Park, cactus and rose gardens, an herbal plantation, sandalwood groves, ancient statues, a Shiva Kund, children’s park, senior citizen zone, a community hall, canteen, and rest house.
Officials including the PCCF and Forest Secretary have praised the project, calling it a blend of entertainment, environmental education, and spiritual significance. Given its proximity to Odisha and West Bengal, the park is expected to draw tourists year-round, boosting local employment and economic activity.
