Jharkhand News : Dussehra, the festival symbolizing the victory of good over evil, was celebrated with vibrant festivities at Grizzly Public School, Gumo, along with its junior wing, Grizzly Kids.
The celebration began with a lively fancy dress show, where young students like Ananya, Riddhima Modi, Samriddhi Priyadarshi, Amayra Roshan, Nayra Pandit, Abhigya Kumari, Mahika Singh, Rishanya Shah, Adaya Rana, and Pavi Kumari portrayed the nine forms of Goddess Durga, turning the school premises into a divine scene resembling the descent of the Navadurga.
Cultural Performances and Mythological Drama
Following this, teacher Manisha Kumari narrated the stories of Goddess Durga and Lord Ram, emphasizing the significance of Dussehra.
Grade 2 students including Daksh Arya, Aryan Kumar, Ayansh Arya, Ahaan Nand, Prashant Preet, Darpit Lohani, Abhyas Kumar, Aditya Raj, Aryan Raj, Aarjav Jain, and Advay Swastik performed a dramatic presentation depicting the abduction of Sita and the battle between Ram and Ravan. The play delivered a strong message: “No matter how powerful evil is, in the end, good always triumphs.”
Later, a colorful dance performance was presented by students Ekansha Sandeep, Bidisha Choudhary, Vaishnavi Kumari, Rishi Raj, Divyanshi Singh, Tanya Prakash Shah, Naman Kumar, and Prateek Kumar, set to the festive song “Dholida”, filling the air with joy and applause.
Inspirational Words and Grand Finale
Principal Neerja addressed the students with an inspiring message, stating, “Dussehra is not just a festival, but a reminder to eliminate negativity within us and embrace positive values. Walking on the path of truth and righteousness leads society and the nation forward.”
Director Sunita Seth extended warm greetings and praised the students for their spectacular performances.
The celebration concluded with a grand Ravan Dahan (burning of Ravan effigy) and enthusiastic chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, accompanied by thunderous applause.
The event was efficiently coordinated and supported by Administrator Prateek Jain, Coordinators Sakinder Kumar, Anita Kumari, and team members including Pooja Jha, Sadaf Naz, Gurjeet Kaur, Shweta Agrawal, Neha Das, Disha Soni, Manisha Kumari, Avinash, Mukesh Kushwaha, and many others from both the academic and administrative staff.
