Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will not contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections in 2025, announced Jharkhand minister and party MLA Sudivya Kumar. Expressing disappointment, he blamed key Mahagathbandhan allies—Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress—for sidelining the JMM in the alliance.
Speaking to the media in Giridih on Monday, Sudivya stated that the last date for filing nominations for the Bihar polls had passed, and unfortunately, JMM was forced to stay out of the contest due to “political cunningness” and “betrayal” by the alliance leaders in Bihar.
“It’s deeply saddening that despite JMM’s intent to participate, we were excluded. RJD and Congress failed to ensure our fair participation,” Sudivya said, adding that this betrayal extends to JMM supporters in Bihar who were expecting representation.
The minister emphasized that while JMM has always honored coalition dharma—whether in Jharkhand or at the national level—RJD and Congress did not reciprocate. “Even when RJD had just one MLA, we supported and gave them ministerial berth in Jharkhand for five years. But in Bihar, they denied us even a chance,” he said.
Sudivya accused both RJD and Congress of political manipulation and questioned their commitment to alliance principles. He warned that the results of the upcoming elections remain uncertain, but the damage to trust is already done. “JMM condemns this betrayal,” he added.
